OLD FASHION BEAN SOUP 
2 c. Great Northern beans
2 lg. potatoes, diced
1 c. celery, diced
1 c. ham, diced
1 med. onion, diced
1 lg. carrot, grated

Soak beans overnight. Cook until tender, about 2 hours. Add ham and vegetables. Cook until tender for another half hour, be sure to keep plenty of water on beans.
