YANKEE BOILED KIELBASA 
1 lb. Eckrich Polaka Kielbasa, cut into 8 pieces
1 med. head cabbage, cut into wedges
4 med. potatoes, peeled and quartered
4 med. carrots, peeled, cut into 2 inch pieces
4 c. water or half water and half beef broth
1 bay leaf
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. caraway seed
1 tbsp. chopped parsley

Combine sausage and vegetables in large Dutch oven or heavy pan. Add water, bay leaf, garlic and caraway seed. Bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes until vegetables are tender. Remove bay leaf and garlic. Arrange sausage and vegetables on platter and sprinkle with parsley. Serves 4-6. May omit garlic and bay leaf, if desired.
