FINALLY....thank you, thank you, thank you...a DELICIOUS recipe where I don't have to add sausage and or bacon drippings....although I always thought dripping were the only way to go...but the butter is SOOOOO GOOD. I used real salted butter, about 1/2 cup of half and half using 2 cups of 1% milk. I used the 1/2 and 1/2 because only milk I had was 1%. I also used leftover sausage patties that were in a fridge for a couple of days as well. Basically I used what we had on hand and it turned out wonderful. We are a "lowfat" family, but when the kids are outta school...especially on Christmas break...I cook and don't worry about the fat content since we are so "lowfat" during the whole rest of the year! Thank you so much for whoever posted this recipe...

Absolutely the easiest and best white gravy recipe I've tried. I used salted butter and a tiny bit of salt and black pepper, and served it over biscuits. It would be just as perfect served over country-fried steak or with fried chicken. Thank you to whomever submitted this recipe! :)

Delicious!!! Used with soy milk and it's wonderful and creamy, and a tad on the sweet side! Money is tight so it's fun to teach my daughter how to cook real food and not processed.. Very happy!!!

This gravy is the bomb! Not to be crass, but like I told my wife, it was almost orgasmic. So, so good! Normally, I use fresh bacon grease instead of butter, which negates the need for salt. However, since I didn't have any, I tried this recipe on our chicken. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

This gravy was a big hit. My husband is from the south and he enjoyed it. This is a great gravy for chicken and waffles.

Made this recipe on a whim to go with mashed potatoes and baked chicken. My boyfriend LOVED it and has been asking me to make more since. It's so easy and doesn't require drippings. Thank you! :)

This is an excellent simple gravy. Try using bacon drippings or sausage drippings instead of butter... extra yummy!

Yummy! I added some garlic powder. I might try next time with two cups milk (rather than 2.5). I'll let you know if I like it better or not. Thanks for the recipe!
