HOLIDAY PEAR SALAD 
1 (16 oz.) can pear halves
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
1 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. pear syrup
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Salad greens
Whole cranberries, for garnish

Drain pears and save syrup. Blend cream cheese with orange peel, sugar and 3 tbsp. pear syrup. Stir in walnuts. Spread mixture over cut sides of 6 pear halves, carefully covering entire surface. Top each with another pear half, pressing gently. Chill. To serve, place stuffed pears upright on serving platter lined with greens. Garnish with a whole cranberry. Makes 6 servings.
