BEEF STEW 
1 lb. stew beef
3 lbs. potatoes, peeled and cut in chunks
1 lg. onion in chunks
16 oz. can peas, drained
16 oz. can carrots, drained
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
Salt, pepper, bay leaf

Layer ingredients in order in large Dutch oven. Sprinkle gravy mix, salt and pepper over top. Add bay leaf. Put a sheet of aluminum foil over top of Dutch oven and then cover with lid. Put in 250 degree F. oven and slowly bake for 5 hours. Stir before serving.

NOTE: You may use any vegetables you prefer.
