MARSHMALLOW CRISPY BARS
(MICROWAVE)
 
1/2 c. butter
5 c. miniature or 40 lg. marshmallows
1/4 tsp. salt
5 c. crispy rice cereal

Melt butter in an 8"x8" dish at high power, 45 to 60 seconds. Stir in marshmallows and salt. Microwave 1 1/2 to 2 minutes at high until soft and melted, stirring after 1 minute. Stir until smooth before adding cereal.

Add cereal 1/3 at a time, stirring with a fork until well coated. Press into dish with fork, cool, then cut in 1 1/4" squares (stir in 1 cup salted peanuts after the cereal if desired).

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
