I remember this without eggs.(as they were costly) We were very poor & this was a great treat in snow country. I made it for my kids & we made 3 or 4 big bowls. Try 1 drop of food coloring added to the milk for the kids. Pretty blue snow.

RE: Wonderful recipe....SPLENDA works well too, even less grainy tasting, not to mention less calories! lol!

Splenda may mix up better, but you're basically eating crap. Look up online all the tests that they have done on Splenda and you will see that what you're eating may have less calories, BUT it is also way WORSE for your body! Stick to Truvia, Purevia, anything ending with a 'via' is much better, it is made from the Truvia plant which is a NATURAL sweetener, whereas splenda is man made, not to mention you're eating basically preservatives.

Stick with sugar, honey or agave syrup. It's a dessert or treat, not a diet. Eat all desserts in moderation - they are not meant to be something that you eat in excess. Stevia may be ok in moderation, but nothing has been tested as extensively as sugar and honey have.

We have also made snow ice cream using sweetened condensed milk plus snow, or Nestles chocolate milk mix with snow. It only works with deep clean snow. Brush off the top before you fill your bowl.

I thought my mom & grandmother used eggs in snow cream but my husband refused because he said you are not suppose to eat raw eggs!!

This recipe is so quick and easy. It is really sweet, as some of the other reviews have stated. Also, I didn't use the eggs. I am hyper about stuff like that. Other than that, the recipe is VERY good and a fun little treat on a snowy day :)

Rarely get a chance to make snow cream here on the NC coast. Looked up recipes that called for eggs as that is how my husband's family made it when he was a kid. I added one cup of Splenda vice two cups of sugar with heavy whipping cream and it was great and low carbs!!

I went to a baby shower yesterday. One of the guests went outside, gathered snow, and made Snow Ice Cream, using only the snow, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla! IT WAS SIMPLY DELICIOUS!!! It was a big hit with all the attendees (especially the kids)!

Can you use ice that has ben chopped thoroughly in a blender? It doesn't snow too often down here in the south. :(

I always added crushed pineapple to the mixture after it had cooled and before adding to the snow.

We have made snow cream since we were kids, my grand kids ate it for the first time last year and they loved it. My mom uses vanilla, pet milk, sugar, and clean snow. She reminds us before we make it not to use the first snow, so, we always wait for second snow. You can also add chocolate or strawberry powdered drink mix, also.

I was just telling my great granddaughter about it, but could not remember know to make it. So got your site to find it. We will try this, she is 7 years old, and it game for new things to make.

Haven't tried this exact recipe yet, but it looks similar to what we made as kids. Now I just use egg beaters in whatever recipe I use. Works great.
