You might want to use pasteurized eggs. Raw eggs could be contaminated with salmonella.

I just made this, with a dash of vanilla added, and it is perfect! We just got a little over 20 inches of snow throughout the night, and my first thought was to make icecream

You should add that they should use pasteurized eggs.

I still make it like grandma did including real eggs, pet milk and real sugar! I've never been sick and you just can't beat the taste and smiles. Now we are grandparents and grandpa takes the kids to get maw's snow. Worry less...God will take care of the little stuff. Enjoy long after it melts. We eat it all summer if I can get enough snow.

Heat the milk. Mix the eggs in a bowl. Slowly mix the heated milk into the egg so that it doesn't "cook" the egg. Then mix with the other ingredients. My mother always told me to do this to avoid eating a raw egg.

we cooked the mixture as stated (-1/2 cup sugar) until it was just shy of a pudding. Then mashed and added two frozen bananas. Wonderful!
