PORK CHOPS - RICE DISH 
6 pork chops, 1 or 1 1/2 inch thick
1 c. uncooked rice
1 env. onion soup mix
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
Hot water

Brown chops. Spread rice in bottom of 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Reserve 1 tablespoon of onion soup mix. Sprinkle remaining mix over rice. Drain mushrooms, saving liquid in 3 cup measuring cup. Place mushrooms over rice. Add hot water to reserved mushroom liquid to make 3 cups. Pour over rice. Place browned chops over rice. Sprinkle chops with reserved onion soup mix. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350 degrees about 45-60 minutes, depending on thickness of chops. Remove foil and cook another 10 minutes if excess liquid is not absorbed.
