MICROWAVE HAWAIIAN MEATBALLS | |
1 can (20 oz.) pineapple chunks 1 lb. ground beef 1 egg 1 tbsp. instant minced onion 1/2 c. oatmeal 1/8 tsp. allspice 1/8 tsp. cloves 2 tbsp. reserved pineapple juice SAUCE: 1/3 c. reserved pineapple juice 1/2 c. catsup 1/3 c. brown sugar Drain pineapple, reserve juice. Mix beef, egg, oatmeal, seasonings and 2 tablespoon juice. Mold small amount of meat mixture around each pineapple chunk. Place in 12 x 8 inch baking dish. Cover with waxed paper and microwave on high for 8 minutes. Pour off meat juices. Combine 1/3 cup juice, catsup and brown sugar, pour over meat balls. Cook on high 3 to 5 minutes until heated through. |
