HAWAIIAN MEATBALLS | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 2/3 c. cracker crumbs 1 egg 1/4 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ginger 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 large can pineapple chunks 1/2 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. soy sauce Mix ground beef, onions, cracker crumbs, eggs, salt, milk and ginger. Shape mixture into meatballs and brown. Simmer until cooked through. Add pineapple chunks and reserve syrup. Mix cornstarch and sugar. Stir in pineapple syrup, vinegar and soy sauce until smooth. Stir constantly over medium heat until thickened. Pour over meatballs and pineapple chunks; heat through. |
