PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 to 2 lbs. round steak, cut in strips
1 tbsp. shortening
1 env. onion soup mix
2 c. water
2 med. green peppers, cut in strips
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch, stirred into 1/2 c. water

Mix together the shortening, soup mix and water. Heat and add steak strips. Simmer 45 minutes. Add green peppers. Continue to heat. Add cornstarch mix to above mixture and stir until thickened.
