REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUP
COOKIES
 
3/4 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
About 30 peanut butter cup miniatures

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, cream peanut butter, shortening, sugars. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Combine flour and soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture, blending thoroughly. Shape dough into 1 1/2 inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven. Immediately place unwrapped peanut butter cup on top of each cookie. Press down so that cookie cracks around edges. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet onto wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
