MRS. BERGSTROM'S MEAT LOAF 
2 lbs. hamburger
2 c. of soft decrusted bread
1 c. milk
2 slightly beaten eggs
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 tbsp. prepared horseradish or 3 tbsp. ketchup
2 tbsp. minced onion
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. salt

Soak the 2 cups of decrusted bread crumbs in 1 cup milk and then add the eggs.

Now combine this with the hamburger and all other ingredients.

Put it in a loaf pan and cover with 2 strips of bacon if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

When you make your meat loaf, hand shape it to place in middle of a roaster. Then arrange sliced potatoes, diced carrots, celery and onions around it. Pour a can of diluted tomato soup over all of it and bake as usual. Add frozen peas too.
