1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Blend flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Stir into shortening mixture. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.

Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Then roll balls into sugar mixture. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until bottom of cookie is lightly brown.

Makes 6 dozen of cookies.
