1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Chill dough. Roll into balls. Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 370 degrees until very light brown, 5-8 minutes.
