1 lb. cranberries 2 c. sugar 2 c. water 2 c. whipping cream 2 c. crushed saltine crackers 3-4 tbsp. melted butter Boil cranberries in water until soft and skins have popped. Add sugar and bring to boil. Then chill thoroughly. Prepare about 2 cups crushed saltine crackers with melted butter. Whip cream; sweeten to flavor. Cover bottom of glass bowl with half the crushed crackers, then a layer of cranberries, then a layer of whipped cream. Repeat process again. This dish is very good served with fowl or pork. |
