SMOTHERED CABBAGE WEDGES 
1 med. head cabbage
1/2 green pepper, diced
1/4 c. onion, diced
4 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1/2 c. mayonnaise
3/4 (3 oz.) c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
3 tbsp. chili sauce

Cut cabbage into 8 wedges. Cook in small amount of boiling salt water until tender, about 12 minutes. Drain well. Place in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Cook green pepper, onion and butter until tender. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir until bubbly. Pour over cabbage. Bake, uncovered at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Combine mayonnaise, cheese and chili sauce. Spoon over cabbage. Bake 5 minutes more. Serves 8.
