FRUIT CAKE 
1 lb. plain flour (4 c.)
8 eggs
3 c. sugar
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 lb. raisins, white or black
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond flavoring
8 c. pecans (whole or lg. pieces)

Beat eggs, add sugar. Mix the nuts and fruit with a little flour reserved from amount listed above. Add rest of flour to eggs and sugar mixture and beat. Then add fruit/nut mixture to first mixture (use hands to mix). Then pack in greased and floured tube pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 250 degrees. Have a pan of water on bottom rack of oven while baking. Don't forget to add flavoring.
