FROSTY STRAWBERRY TORTE 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. butter

Combine and spread (reserve 1/2 cup for top) into a greased 13x9 inch pan. Do not pack down. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

FILLING:

2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
2/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries (thawed slightly)
1/2 pt. (1 c.) Cool Whip

Beat egg whites until stiff. Combine beaten egg whites, sugar, berries and juice and lemon juice. Beat for 10 minutes, at least, until stiff peaks form.
