CORN COB JELLY | |
10 or 12 clean dry corn cobs 5 to 6 c. water 1 box Sure Jell 4 c. sugar Red food coloring (optional) Soak the clean cobs in water for 5 to 6 hours to allow them to be saturated with water. Remove them from this water. Break cobs so they will fit in a large pan; cover with 5 or 6 cups of water and boil for 10 minutes. Strain this liquid. Use 3 cups of this liquid. Add sugar and approximately 1 tablespoon red food coloring with the Sure Jell. Follow the basic jelly recipe on the Sure Jell instructions to complete the jelly. |
