THIRTY DAY COLE SLAW 
1 med. sized head white cabbage
1 green pepper (optional)
1 red pepper (optional)
1 lg. yellow onion, chopped
1 carrot, shredded
2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/4 c. oil 2 tbsp. celery seed
1/2 tbsp. salt

Combine cabbage, green and red peppers, carrot, and chopped onion; mix well. In saucepan, bring to a hard boil sugar, vinegar, oil, celery seed, and salt. Pour boiling liquid over your cabbage mixture. Store in air-tight jars (Mason jars). Let stand for 2 to 3 days before using. Refrigerate.
