SAUSAGE FILLED APPLES 
6 lg. tart apples (preferably McIntosh)
1 c. uncooked sausage
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Cut a slice off apple tops; scoop out pulp and cores, leaving shells an inch thick. Chop apple pulp and combine with sausage. Line apple shells with mixture of salt, sugar and cinnamon; fill shells with sausage mixture. Bake in a 375 degree oven until tender. Serves 6.
