APPLE DREAM PIE 
4-5 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 to 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Dash of ground nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter
Pastry for 2-crust pie

Combine sugar, flour, spices and dash of salt. Mix with apples. Put mixture in a pastry lined pie pan. Dot with butter; cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, make cream cheese topping.

CREAM CHEESE TOPPING:

2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. sour cream

Combine eggs, sugar, lemon juice, water in saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick. Add softened cream cheese and sour cream to hot mixture. Beat smooth. Pour over pie.

With remaining pie dough cut out fancy shapes and place on cream cheese topping. Bake another 15-20 minutes in 350 degree oven. Cool.
