COUNTRY APPLE DESSERT 
1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix
1/3 c. softened butter
2 eggs
1 (20 oz.) can apple pie filling (add 1/4 c. sugar to apples if use uncanned apples)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine (use mixer on low) cake mix, butter and 1 egg. Press in ungreased 13x9 inch pan. Spread with apple pie filling.

Combine brown sugar, chopped walnuts, cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples.

Blend sour cream, 1 egg and vanilla. Pour over sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes until topping is golden.

This didn't work. The cake part didn't cook (and I am at sea level). Maybe the cake mix should be prepared like the directions on the box. Have it poured over apples with sour cream mixture topped off with sugar mixture. ? I'll try it that way next time.
