LEMON CRUMB SQUARES 
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1/2 c. lemon juice
1 tsp. lemon rind, grated

Blend and let set. Mix: 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2/3 c. butter 1 c. dark brown sugar 1 c. oatmeal (NOT cooked)

Cream shortening and sugar; add oats and flour mixture. Put half in an 8 x 2 x 2-inch pan. Add milk mixture. Then add remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350 degrees until brown, about 25 minutes.
