OATMEAL BUNS OR BREAD 
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. salt
2 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. shortening

Pour water over oatmeal, salt and shortening and set aside. Dissolve 2 packages dry yeast in 1 3/4 cup warm water. Add 2 eggs, 1 cup brown sugar and 1/3 cup molasses. Last, add 6-8 cups white flour and knead. Let rise and punch down twice before making into buns or small loaves. Let rise until double and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes for buns or 40 minutes for loaves or until done.
