CHRISTMAS GUMDROP CAKE FOR
LITTLE PEOPLE
 
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 c. snipped gumdrops
Red, purple, yellow gumdrops (no green)
1/2 c. toffee chips

(Oil your kitchen shears or gumdrops will stick). Stir together thoroughly flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine egg, buttermilk, oil, gumdrops and toffee chips - add to dry mixture. Stir just until moistened.

Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from pan. Cool on rack.
