BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. pecans

Combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into first mixture. Mix in pecans. Spread in greased 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
