CHICKEN ADOBO, PHILIPPINE STYLE 
Chicken breasts, thighs, legs (may also include pork chops)
Vegetable oil
1/4 c. soy sauce
4 or 5 garlic cloves, chopped
White vinegar
Water
2-3 tbsp. pickling spice

Brown meat in oil in large pot. Add 4 or 5 cloves of chopped garlic. Add generous amount of soy sauce, approximately 1/4 cup. Cover chicken with white vinegar and water in equal amounts. Add 2-3 tablespoons pickling spice. Bring to boil; then simmer until chicken is cooked.

Thank you for providing recipe. Did not ever measure liquids before, now I know. Plus reminder, can mix with pork. Also when I learned this recipe Pedro liked to put potatoes in the soy, brined broth. Didn't brown chicken, simmering now.
