CHICKEN ADOBO (GILLY-GILLY) 
1 lg. chicken (cut 12 pieces)
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. soy sauce
3 tsp. crushed garlic
2 tbsp. shortening
1 med. crushed onion
1 bay leaf
Speck of salt and pepper
Speck of chicken seasonings

Brown garlic and onion in shortening. Put chicken and brown about 10 minutes and stir. Put all the rest of ingredients and simmer until done. While simmering, stir once in a while to keep from sticking at the bottom. Serve with rice. Tastes better if you marinate. Mix all ingredients after simmering and cook one hour. Tastes great; feeds a whole family.
