BEEF AND POTATO BAKE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 can cream of celery soup or cream of mushroom soup
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2-3 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Cook ground beef and onion in skillet; drain. Combine soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Layer 1/2 each of potatoes, soup mixture, and cooked ground beef and onion in an ungreased 8 inch square baking pan. Repeat layers. Cover. Cook until potatoes are tender, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

OPTIONAL: Sprinkle with cheese when potatoes are done and heat for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
