GERMAN STYLE POTATO SALAD 
5 new potatoes (about 1 1/2 lbs.)
6 slices bacon
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. + 1 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
3/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. vinegar

Place potatoes in pan. Cover with water. Cook until potatoes are done. Cool, peel and slice potatoes. Fry bacon until crisp. Drain bacon and crumble. Add onion to bacon drippings. Cook until transparent. Stir in flour and next 4 ingredients. Cook until smooth. Add water and vinegar to onion mixture; mix well. Layer potatoes, bacon and sauce. Serve warm.
