BUTTERMILK FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. pecans
3 tbsp. syrup

Cook until soft ball stage. Take off of heat and add vanilla and pecans. Beat until ready to pour up. Doesn't take very long to heat.

Cook in a big pan, so it won't boil over if it foams up. I used my 6 quart pressure pan. I used an 8 inch square pan to pour it up in.
