2 cans tuna, partially drained 1 tsp. oregano 1 egg 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. flour 1/4 c. water (for baked tuna puffs) Mix tuna, oregano, egg and baking powder together. Then add flour (if you're baking them add 1/4 cup water after the flour). BREAD CRUMB CRUST: 2 c. fine bread crumbs (4 slices bread) 1/3 c. instant minced onion 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 tbsp. seasoned salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. Italian seasoning Combine ingredients into a bowl. For fried tuna puffs (approximately 40 puffs), drop by teaspoons into hot oil until golden brown on one side. Then turn over. Total cooking time: 3 to 4 minutes. Serve with rice, sweet and sour sauce, and/or tarter sauce. For baked tuna puffs, bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cover completely, take batter and drop into bread crumbs, then place on ungreased cookie sheet. The dough will be very soft. Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes per side until crispy. |
