BREAKFAST CORNBREAD
Grease a round Pyrex cake dish. Cut one can of Treet (or Spam) into 8 slices. Stack the slices on top of each other and cut through across the corners, forming 16 triangle shapes. Lay 8 triangles in bottom of the cake pan to resemble the spokes of a wagon wheel. In a medium bowl, mix 1 box of Jiffy cornbread muffin mix, 1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk, and 1 egg. Add 1 cup whole kernel corn and 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese. Stir to mix well. Pour over the meat slices in round dish. Stand the remaining 8 triangles into the cornbread in spoke fashion. Bake at 325-350 degrees about 30-40 minutes until browned on top and tests done with a knife. Cool slightly; cut into wedges. Serve with hot maple syrup.

MAPLE SYRUP:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavor
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. maple flavor

Simmer - do not boil.
