PEAR SAUSAGE BREAKFAST CAKE | |
1 (16 oz.) can Bartlett pear halves 1 egg 1/3 c. milk 2 tbsp. oil 2 c. buttermilk baking mix 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. nuts, chopped 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Brown & Serve sausage links, halved lengthwise Cinnamon Streusel Topping Drain pears, reserving 1/4 cup syrup; chop pears. Combine reserved pear syrup with egg, milk and oil; mix thoroughly. Stir together baking mix and cinnamon; add to liquid ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Stir in pears and nuts in greased 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish. Arrange sausages on top, cut side down. Sprinkle with streusel topping. Bake at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm. CINNAMON STREUSEL TOPPING: 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3 tbsp. firm butter Mix until crumbly. |
