MICROWAVE CARAMELS 
2 sticks butter
1 c. light corn syrup
1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
1 1/4 c. brown sugar

Mix thoroughly. Cook on high 2 minutes, stir. Cook 2 minutes. Stir. Cook 5 minutes, stir. Cook 5 minutes, stir. Cook 4 minutes, stir. Add 3 teaspoons vanilla or to taste. Beat until smooth and pour into buttered 8 or 9 inch square pan. Cool, cut, wrap. Store in cool place. Freezes well.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
