BANANA - OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 3/4 c. regular or quick oats
1 c. mashed bananas

Sift together first five ingredients, set aside. Cream shortening and sugar until creamy. Add egg and beat well. Add banana and oatmeal and mix well. Add flour mixture. Blend well. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes (time may vary) in 400 degree oven.
