DUTCH APPLE PIE 
6 to 8 pared, chopped apples
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. corn syrup
2/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
Grated cheese

Arrange apples in greased baking dish. Pour lemon juice and syrup over apples. Combine sugar, flour and salt. Cut in the butter until mixture is consistency of coarse corn meal. Lightly stir in enough cheese to color. Top apples with this mixture. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until apples are very tender. Serve warm with or without cream.
