2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. shortening
2 mashed bananas
1/2 c. pecans

Blend together flour, baking powder, soda, and buttermilk. Add rest of ingredients. Mix together and bake in a long layer pan at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and frost. May be baked in layers.

FROSTING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter
1 mashed med. banana
1/2 c. nuts

Mix until smooth and spread on cake.
