1 box Duncan Hines Deluxe yellow cake mix (the one you add oil to)

Prepare according to package directions. Bake in three layers. Let cool and frost with Seven-Minute Frosting.

SEVEN-MINUTE FROSTING:

2 egg whites
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. syrup (white Karo)
5 tbsp. water
Vanilla flavoring (about 1 tsp.)

Beat egg whites. Add sugar, syrup and water. Beat up good. Cook in double boiler, beating continuously with mixer until mixture holds peaks. Remove from heat and beat in vanilla flavoring. Spread on layers putting frosting on first, then a layer of sliced bananas.
