PINWHEEL COOKIES 
Sift:

4 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream:

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar

Add to sugar:

2 eggs well beaten

Then add:

1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk (alternate with flour mix)

Have:

3 sq. chocolate melted

Divide dough in half. Add chocolate to one half. Roll white mixture into a rectangular sheet 1/4 inch thick. Do same with chocolate part. Place over white sheet. Trim to even, roll like jelly roll.

Wrap in waxed paper and chill until firm (2 hours).

Cut in thin slices. Place on cookie sheet.

Bake in 400 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
