1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
3 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix and roll out on floured board. Spread filling on and roll up. Slice and bake at 350 degrees until brown.

FILLING: :

1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Cook until thick and cool.
