BEST "SUCRE A LA CREME" 
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 /2 sticks) butter, softened
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together brown sugar, softened butter and sweetened condensed milk, Cook in microwave on high for 8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes.

Cool for 5 minutes then add the confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Mix with a hand mixer until thickened (not too much). Pour into pan and refrigerate for 1 hour or so, or until hard enough to cut in pieces.
