MOLASSES COOKIES 
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
1/2 c. molasses
2 level tsp. baking soda, dissolved in little water
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar, shortening and molasses and eggs together. Add baking soda water, then dry ingredients. Roll in 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart and bake 10 to 12 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Dough can be refrigerated.
