1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. nuts
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking salt
2 c. flour

Melt shortening, add sugar, beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in cocoa, milk, vanilla, and oatmeal. Add the rest of ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. When cool, frost with favorite chocolate frosting.
