WESTERN RANGE BURGERS 
4 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green peppers
1 lb. ground beef
2 (15 oz. ea.) cans red kidney beans
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce (Hunts)
2 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cheddar cheese, grated (I use Cracker Barrel)
8 English muffins or hamburger buns

Fry bacon until crisp, drain and crumble. In 2 tablespoons of the bacon fat, sauté onion and chopped green peppers until soft. Add ground beef and cook until meat browns. Then add beans, tomato sauce, crumbled bacon along with chili powder, salt and back pepper. Stir in grated cheese. Stir over low heat until cheese melts.

Serve on 8 split and toasted English muffins.
