1 c. water
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix water and flour into a saucepan. Cook until bubbles appear. Cool. Mix butter, shortening, granulated sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until creamy. Add to cooled flour mixture and beat until creamy. This is a very easy icing to make. It spreads, looks and tastes like whipped cream.
