BAKERY ICING 
1 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 sm. can evaporated milk
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 lb. confectioners' sugar

Cream shortening, butter and vanilla in mixer bowl. Add confectioners' sugar and milk alternately, beating until of spreading consistency. Frost cooled cake. Yield: Enough for 2 layers.
